Tech360 Puts the Focus on Area Tech and Innovation
For the fifth year, the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) held a technology conference in Chester County.
Organized through two CCEDC initiatives – the Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG) and the Ideas x Innovation Network (i2n), this year’s event was touted as the Philly ‘burbs premier innovative business technology conference, where IT professionals, thought leaders and industry innovators from the area’s top companies cover topics including cyber security defense updates, big data, blockchain, design thinking, Amazon Web Service, IT leadership, and the latest in the local tech sector.
The conference itself unveiled some new and innovative aspects including an entrepreneurship track featuring keynote speaker Wayne Kimmel who offered practical secrets on entrepreneurship, networking, and the importance of giving back as a means to achieving success in business and in life. In addition, the event utilized the Brella app to facilitate networking among attendees.
According to Nancy Kunkle, Program Director for ITAG and i2n, “The world continues to go through rapid change related to technology. While we have achieved a lot as individual companies, as individual experts, as a collective group in the region but we have to stay on the leading edge.” She added that “even with all the advances in the past two decades we still have both tech and people challenges that haven’t been solved. That’s why it’s so important that we come together for education and networking at events like Tech360.”
