Early voters in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice awards are pushing Kennett Square’s Longwood Gardens toward the top of the public vote for Pennsylvania’s favorite attraction.

Longwood Gardens has already climbed to No. 9, but the free online, one-a-day vote will continue until noon on Oct. 10.

“When it’s chilly outside, indoor options include a Banana House, Mediterranean Garden, Orchid House, and Orangery, while outside, visitors can explore Canopy Cathedral, Flower Garden Walk, Rose Arbor, Peirce’s Woods, and the Idea Garden, where home gardeners can find inspiration,” the article’s profile of Longwood Gardens reads.

The 1,000-acre attraction featuring a high-profile new fountain arrangement is competing against other early leaders like Knoebels, Ohiopyle State Park, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and Pine Creek Gorge.
