Volunteer Opportunities at Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic
By Jeff Zajac
A front-row seat to the action of the 13th Annual Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic, a free T-shirt and lunch awaits anyone (16 yrs. and older) willing to chip in and give back to the community as a volunteer.
Whether for a few hours or all day long on Saturday, Aug. 12, volunteers will play a critical role in hosting the best riders from across the nation for both the men’s and women’s criterium races.
Volunteers can choose from a variety of tasks including set up and tear down of the race course in downtown West Chester, facilitate morning race trials at West Chester Bayard Rustin High School, help in the Kids’ Zone and Kids’ Race, assist with vendor load-in and roll out of the community festival and more.
Volunteer shifts begin at 11 a.m. and run through midnight. Whole teams, organizations and individuals are welcome.
