With Benefits Like This, No Wonder Fatherly Named Vanguard a Best Place to Work for New Dads

By

Vanguard has been selected as one of the 50 Best Places to Work for New Dads by Fatherly, the leading digital lifestyle guide for young parents.

The Fatherly report highlights leading U.S. companies with the best paternity benefits, and Vanguard joins the likes of Google, Pinterest, Apple, LinkedIn, Amazon, and Yahoo! in making the cut.

Vanguard’s selection is a reflection of the firm’s benefit enhancements in 2016 to offer best-in-class parental leave to crew members (employees) welcoming children.

Fatherly also highlighted Vanguard’s dependent care leave, student loan tuition repayment assistance, and the Crew Kids Ahoy! field trip and summer camp program.

“We are very pleased that Fatherly recognized the efforts Vanguard has made to support parents,” said John James, managing director and head of Human Resources for Vanguard.

“We know flexibility is key to achieving a healthy work-life integration during the transition to parenthood, so it was vitally important to us that we offer all crew the assistance they told us they need during this important life stage.”

According to Fatherly, “in 2016, Vanguard upped its paternity leave to six weeks and added a two-week allowance to care for a sick dependent.”

Furthermore, “Vanguard chips in $100 a month to pay off student loans for recent college and grad school graduates.”
