A historic site surrounded by award-winning perennial gardens, the 230-year-old Farmhouse is a highly sought-after venue for brides and event planners. The addition includes a stunning 2,000-square-foot pavilion adjacent to the existing ballroom that will accommodate events of any size – from a small corporate lunch to celebrations of up to 300 guests.
With cathedral ceilings, stone walls, and hardwood floors, the enclosed pavilion will provide a breathtaking on-site ceremony space for weddings.
“Over the last several years, we have recognized the need to provide indoor ceremony space for weddings and host larger corporate events,” said Ellen Anderson, People’s Light General Manager and CFO. “The expansion of the ballroom will address our future needs and help us grow our business to the next level.”
Construction began in December 2016 and is scheduled to be completed in April.
A grand opening is planned for Sunday, April 23 from 12-4 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
