With offices in West Chester and Pottstown, Traffic Planning & Design (TPD) is an engineering firm that uses responsiveness and local knowledge to provide high-quality roadway and bridge design and inspection.

Highway Design Specialist

This position assists with the preparation of proposals and SOIs, and keeps project on schedule and on budget by developing, maintaining, and monitoring design schedules and budgets.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a current EIT certification or PE license, experience with project delivery for PennDOT and PA Turnpike Commission projects, and familiarity with permitting requirements and clearance processes.

Municipal Traffic Engineer

This position reviews municipal subdivision and land development applications, traffic impact and circulation studies, and zoning ordinances, assists in capital improvement planning, and analyzes and interprets demographic and other regional transportation planning data.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, EIT certification, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of CADD Software such as Microstation or AutoCAD.

Construction Inspectors/Managers

These positions inspect roadway and bridge projects, test soils, concrete, and bituminous paving, review construction schedules, and calculate quantities for contractor payment estimates.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, a minimum of two years of transportation construction inspection experience, and certification in at least one of the following: NICET, NECEPT Bituminous, ACI, PennDOT Concrete Technician, and CDS.

Traffic Engineer

This position provides support to roadway and municipal project managers on all aspects of transportation engineering, including traffic safety analysis, intersection design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and more.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, PE license, and experience using Microstation, SYNCHRO, SimTraffic, and VISSIM.
