The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business recently hosted “Giving Back” at La Comunidad Hispana in Kennett Square. The Women in Business “Giving Back” program is a new community service initiative aimed at helping to make the community a better place. A group of 28 members assembled food bags for the new Family Fitness Program at LCH.
“The Family Fitness Program provides intensive interventions for 50 of our client families,” said LeeAnn Riloff, Director of Development for LCH. “All of the families have at least one member who is either diabetic or pre-diabetic, a huge health issue among our clients. The chamber’s help assembling food bags, which encourage busy families to make quick healthy meals, was much appreciated.”
