New Rankings Reveal How Chester County’s Private High Schools Fare Relative to Others in State

Based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents, Niche.com has unveiled its 2017 rankings of the Top 100 Private High Schools in Pennsylvania.

The Westtown School checked in at No. 4, while Devon Prep (20) and Exton’s Church Farm School (24) also cracked the Top 25.

Ranking factors include SAT/ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, private school ratings, and more. Data was sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users, and the schools directly.

Other Chester County private high schools that made the cut were:

  • 31. Malvern Prep
  • 43. Villa Maria Academy (Malvern)
  • 61. The Phelps School (Malvern)
  • 67. Kimberton Waldorf (Phoenixville)
  • 84. Bishop Shanahan (Downingtown)

According to Niche, tuition (plus room and board) for the highest grade offered at Westtown School is $55,240 per year, while the average SAT score among its students is a 1320 out of 1600.
