bracket-squarelogo-1455049723766Wayne’s Bracket, the clinical trial technology and specialty services provider, has acquired CLINapps, an international firm that writes software for drug and biotech companies for an undisclosed amount, writes Joseph DiStefano for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“CLINapps’s strong technology fits squarely into Bracket’s goal of transforming the way pharmaceutical companies manage data and interact with sites, investigators, and patients,” said Jeff Kinell, CEO of Bracket.

Tim Elliott, CEO at CLINapps, said the acquisition represents an exciting opportunity for the company, and pointed out that it will help take CLINapps’s eClinical supplies solutions to the next level.

Bracket, formed 12 years ago, was purchased by Parthenon Capital Partners from Express Scripts in 2013 for $22.1 million.

The combined companies will have a total of 700 employees, with 175 stationed at Bracket’s headquarters in Wayne and 125 working out of its offices in Feasterville-Trevose, and 400 at other sites, including San Diego and Hyderabad, Ind.

As part of the acquisition, CLINapps will now report to Jim Primerano, General Manager of Brackett’s eClinical division.

According to Bracket’s Adam Butler, the company is planning “aggressive hiring and growth across the entire business.”
