coatesvilleCoatesville residents are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about their neighborhoods at a public meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 6-8 PM at the Coatesville Senior Center as part of a neighborhood revitalization effort.

Resident feedback is the primary component of the project which is being conducted through a planning grant from the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation.

The Chester County Economic Development Foundation (CCEDF) and Coatesville Area Partners for Progress (CAPP) are the co-recipients of the grant, and are working together to implement the project.
The grant funds a resident-driven planning process that seeks to prepare targeted Coatesville neighborhoods for positive change.

The process is being guided by a steering committee composed of neighborhood residents, area business owners, and non-profit organizations active in the neighborhood. In addition to CCEDF and CAPP, the effort is assisted and supported by Urban Partners, a consulting firm with significant experience in developing neighborhood revitalization plans.

“Involving residents in planning for their future is an essential element of any revitalization process,” said CAPP President Regina Horton-Lewis. “CAPP is very pleased to be partnering with CCEDF for this important initiative, and is excited to have the support of the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation to help us undertake this effort.”
