The growing reach of Paoli-based Malvern Federal Savings Bank has crossed into Bucks County with news this week that it will soon open a private banking branch along Quaker Pointe Drive in Quakertown.

“We expect our new office to be operational in the first quarter of 2017,” Malvern Federal President and CEO Anthony C. Weagley said. “The office will feature commercial lending, credit administration, and private banking teams.

“We offer consumers a superior, personalized banking experience, including banking by appointment, which enables customers to schedule a meeting with our financial professionals at a time that is convenient to them.”

Bucks County is an extremely competitive and crowded banking market, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal. There are 35 different banks with retail operations there.

“We are expanding Malvern Federal’s presence into this particular location because it gives us access not only to Bucks County but to the nearby Lehigh Valley/Allentown region to the north and the Montgomery County region to the south,” said Weagley.
