The man at the center of one of Chester County Republicans’ most intense election cycles is now seeking to spread his expertise over the entire state of Pennsylvania — and turn the leadership model on its head.

Republican Committee of Chester County Chairman Val DiGiorgio has announced his candidacy for state Republican chairman.

“I have always believed in the servant model of leadership,” he said in a letter to state committee members. “Therefore, as state GOP chairman, if I am so honored, I will approach each day with one mission: giving county chairmen and state and local committee members the tools they need to be successful in electing qualified, conservative Republicans to office. As your next chairman, the daily mission of the state committee staff will be summed up in one sentence: State committee exists to help, support and work for the county committees, not the other way around.”

DiGiorgio draws from nearly 30 years of advocacy for Republicans and a strong record of garnering votes for Republican state representative and row officer candidates.

Republican committee members from across the state will have a chance to vote for DiGiorgio in February.
