Global Account Executive

This position sells Vertex Enterprise income tax solutions within a defined territory by targeting accounts, developing strategy, understanding companies’ circumstances, and selling solutions that best fit their needs. He/she builds relationships to better understand customers’ business requirements, direction, and strategic tax vision. The person develops and responds to RFPs, develops joint proposals, and fosters relationships among Vertex, customers, and/or partners.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, tax, or a related field. He/she will have a minimum of five years of hands-on outside sales experience selling income tax software. The person will preferably have knowledge of tax accounting, major ERP packages, Web Services, Vertex software, and more.

Technical Writer

This position creates and maintains clear, useable, and accurate information that enables people to successfully install, configure, use, and maintain Vertex software solutions. He/she develops content for a variety of different audiences. The person delivers superior content so that customers and prospects perceive Vertex’s user assistance and training as a competitive differentiator.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in technical communications, English, computer science, accounting, or a related field. He/she will have a minimum of four years of technical writing experience documenting software. The person will preferably have experience with structured authoring, reusable content objects, and single-source publishing.

Director of Talent Acquisition

This position develops the recruiting strategy for the organization, including specific strategies for hourly, professional, and executive-level positions in current and expansion markets. He/she leads the talent acquisition team through the execution of recruitment strategies and programs. The person oversees and performs all recruiting activities for C-level positions and others when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. He/she will have a minimum of seven years of experience building, leading, and managing others with a proven track record. The person will have a minimum of seven years of full, life-cycle recruiting experience.
