Global Coffee Strategic Sourcing Manager

This position identifies opportunities to leverage market insights, develops coverage strategies, and applies appropriate price risk management tools to manage the impact of coffee on the company. He/she applies analytical and strategic-thinking skills to develop long-term category sourcing strategies that are aligned to company business objectives and responsive to the internal and external environment.

The person effectively and efficiently carries out each step on the Mars Strategic Sourcing Methodology using appropriate buying techniques, tools, and systems. He/she will identify and manage sustainability, ethical, or other risks and opportunities arising out of the coffee supply chain, in order to protect the reputation of Mars Drinks and its brands.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, with honors, preferably in a science or business-related discipline with relevant experience. He/she will have coffee-buying experience. The person will travel globally up to 30 percent of the time.
