ABA Counselor – Education

This position provides educational instruction to assigned individuals in a structured classroom environment designed to promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth. He/she assists in implementing individualized programs that are appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents aged 5-21. The person is constantly aware of and ready to respond to individual needs according to effective behavior analytic interventions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 50 college credits, though a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. He/she must have strong teaching skills with an emphasis on individuals who are emotionally, behaviorally, physically, and/or developmentally challenged. At least one year of experience with specialized populations is preferred.

Assistant Clinical Training Coordinator

This position assists with the administration, management, and delivery of all training services of the Professional Development Department. He/she assists in implementing and monitoring staff training, including organizing trainings in both small and large group settings, scheduling and tracking training on a computerized system, and implementing aspects of the training curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in education and/or human services and prior training experience. He/she must have a minimum of two years in related fields—training, education, and human services.

Behavior Support Specialist

This position implements educational instruction and behavior support plans to assigned students in a structured residential and classroom environment. He/she ensures implementation procedures that are appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents aged 5-21 who have been placed into Melmark’s Residential Treatment Facility. The person works directly with students as needed, and trains and supervises other staff in working with students per all established protocols.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in education, special education, psychology, applied behavior analysis, or a closely related field. Graduate coursework in behavior analysis is highly preferred. At least one year of experience working with specialized populations is also preferred.
