historical-societyFounded in 1893, the Chester County Historical Society is the official county history museum, history education center, and historical repository of Chester County. As such, the Society aims to preserve and share the county’s remarkable history in powerful and relevant ways. CCHS is located in “the History Center,” a 56,000-square-foot complex in the middle of downtown West Chester.

Venue Sales and Marketing Manager

This position is responsible for the sales and marketing of CCHS’s rental program on external websites, scheduling and promoting events, managing rentals and events, and PR, including social media. He/she supervises the venue rental assistant, staff during cultural center events, security personnel, and volunteers on an as-needed basis. The person meets with the director of development and communications on a weekly basis to review and discuss budget goals and provide necessary updates.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. He/she will have work experience in or related to marketing (organization and volunteer interaction preferred). The person will have excellent communication and computer skills and be adept in website content management, specifically Drupal.
