Budweiser Clydesdales to Deliver Memories to Downtown West Chester

By

West Chester is set to receive a refreshing glimpse of the past in its historic downtown when the famous Budweiser Clydesdales stride down Gay and Market streets to deliver fresh memories and fresh beer to numerous local bars and restaurants.

The Budweiser Clydesdale, a tradition since 1933, are enjoying a fresh round of popularity in Chester County, visiting in 2014 and returning every year since.

This year’s visit is again scheduled for First Friday festivities on Sept. 2, specifically between 5 and 7 p.m. The route for the Budweiser Clydesdales starts at Gay and Matlock, proceeds west to Darlington, south to Market and east to Walnut.

And they’ll be pitching commercials at each of 17 establishments, though much less scripted than the memorable ones aired on TV over the years.

Ceremonial Budweiser deliveries and photo opps will be on tap for each place, all of which are eligible for the honor because of their Responsible Alcohol Management Training certification. They include Root’s Cafe, Avalon, DeStarr’s Restaurant, Teca, The Social Lounge, Side Bar & Restaurant, Kildare’s Irish Pub, Ryan’s Pub, Saloon 151, Landmark Americana Tap & Grill, Pietro’s Prime Steakhouse & Seafood, Mercato, Barnaby’s of West Chester, Ram’s Head Bar & Grill, Mas Mexicali Cantina, Limoncello Ristorante and Split Rail Tavern.
