Saint-Gobain Receives LEED Platinum Plaque for Its Brand New Sustainable Malvern HQ
Saint-Gobain held a celebration on Wednesday at its Malvern HQ, where the company was recognized for its commitment to sustainability with the LEED Platinum Plaque by the U.S. Green Building Council and Delaware Valley Green Building Council.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum Certification is the U.S. Green Building Council’s highest level of sustainability recognition. It was awarded for both the interior and exterior of the state-of-the-art building.
Saint-Gobain and CertainTeed’s North American Headquarters is a next-generation workplace which maximizes both the comfort and health of employees. It does this by using a variety of the company’s own building materials which improve air quality, moisture management and energy efficiency.
The newly revamped offices are open-concept with over 100 collaborative spaces, various food and beverage outlets, an on-site fitness center, and 1.3 miles of walking trails.
The ceremony was attended by John Crowe, President and CEO of Saint-Gobain and CertainTeed, Roger Platt, Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, Green Business Certification, Joe Kessler, Board Chair of Delaware Valley Green Building Council and over four hundred employees, project partners and stakeholders.
