Victory Brewing Hosts Sen. Rafferty during Inaugural “Brewer for the Day” Event
Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown hosted the inaugural “Brewer for the Day” event organized by the state’s official beer guild, Brewers of Pennsylvania.
The program gives legislators an insider’s perspective on brewing America’s favorite beverage. It also aims to educate Pennsylvania Senators and Representatives on the positive economic impact of craft brewers throughout the state.
Senator John Rafferty, who represents Berks, Chester, and Montgomery counties, was the first legislator to take advantage of the new initiative when he visited the brewery on August 15th.
His fun and informative session included malt analysis, learning about the fermentation process, and touring Victory’s state-of-the-art automation process that produces some of Pennsylvania’s finest craft beers.
“For years, Senator Rafferty has been actively engaged in the industries and activities that keep Pennsylvania productive for the benefit of all citizens,” said Bill Covaleski, BOP President and President of Victory Brewing Company. “As the first Brewer for the Day, he proved that by rolling up his sleeves and helping to make one of many Pennsylvanians’ favorite products, HopDevil Ale.”
Rafferty said after his visit, that he was pleased to support the brewing industry which in addition to creating delicious craft beer, also showcases one of the state’s many outstanding products.
“Victory Brewing is one of many breweries across our state that provides good jobs, and helps to contribute to our state’s economy,” Rafferty noted.
