The Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies is a special-mission campus located in Malvern. Academic programs include education, engineering, MBA, and management. Classes are geared toward working adults, and meet evenings and Saturdays.

Enrollment Services Specialist

The position will perform the following duties: Assist in guiding and advocating for potential and current learners navigating Penn State admission and student aid procedures. Assist in advising, counseling, and providing information to prospective and current students on University programs and processes, eligibility requirements for admission and/or financial aid, in person, on the phone, and via email, and with peers and other administrative units. Assist in managing and evaluating credentials submitted in support of students’ applications for admission and/or financial aid per existing policies and criteria.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree, and have three years of related experience. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and enjoy working in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment. Competencies critical to success are excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; sound judgment; entrepreneurship; self-management; and effective problem solving and organizational skills.

Management Instructors

The college seeks part-time instructors in its Management graduate programs for its Spring session beginning January 9, 2017; Summer session beginning May 8, 2017; and Fall session beginning August 21, 2017. These part-time appointments are fixed-term.

A doctorate in the discipline and prior teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level, is required. Teaching assignments may include online or at the campus in Malvern in late afternoons and evenings.

Research Assistant

This position’s duties are to support ongoing faculty research projects. Requires knowledge of the Linux administration, file system, and networking, Linux scripting (bash/perl), Java, and Python.

The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
