The 18th annual Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning Challenge for Cancer Bike Tour on Sunday will keep wheels turning for new cancer treatments.

Friends and family members of cancer patients strapped on bike helmets and hit the road for a worthy cause during Sunday morning’s 18th annual Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning Challenge for Cancer Bike Tour.

From young families facing down five miles to bold bikers battling the 63-mile Challenge for Cancer tour, local supporters pedaled their way through the scenic Chester County countryside in a tradition widely known as “a fun, healthy, meaningful way to celebrate life!”

“All the money we raise stays local, stays in the community,” said Bill Ronayne, whose company, Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning, served as this years’ presenting sponsor.

“We have over a hundred volunteers who come out and make this possible.”

The Challenge for Cancer, which started at Chester County Hospital’s Fern Hill Medical Campus in West Chester and ended with a barbecue, bouncy castles, face painting and balloons, helps keep the wheels turning on new treatments for cancer patients in The Cancer Program at Chester County Hospital and Neighborhood Health.
