Victory Brewing Introduces Prima Pils in Cans, Unveils New Label

Prima_Pils-FluteFans of one of Victory Brewing’s most popular pilsners are in for a treat, as in addition to giving Prima Pils a fresh new look the company has now made it available in cans.

“With the decision to put Prima in cans, creating ‘portable Pils perfection,’ we decided to refresh the label, too,” commented Victory’s co-founder and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “The liquid is the same as it’s been for 20 years but we wanted to brighten the label and boldly state what our loyal fans have been saying for decades: ‘PRIMA PILS PERFECTION SINCE 1996.’”

The changes Downingtown’s craft brewery has made to the  old Prima Pils label are small but significant. The color palette remains unchanged with green and gold still emphasizing the hops.

However, the new tag, “Perfection since 1996,” together with text “Prima,” which is a German exclamation of joy, is now in strong, white letters across the hops flower. The new design is going on all forms of Prima Pils, including bottles, tap handles, as well as the newly released cans.

Prima Pils is consistently ranked as one of the best American made German pilsners highlighting Victory’s dedication in crafting traditional, European beers using American ingenuity.

The popularity of the brew comes from its masterful balance of herbal bite through the combination of whole flower German and Czech hops and smooth malt flavors which result in a long, dry finish. With ABV of 5.3% it is the perfect drink for a warm summer day.
