It’s been a long, long time coming but it seems upgrades to Chester County’s dilapidated rail stations are finally rounding the bend.

Last week, SEPTA announced it will be holding a special open house to answer outstanding questions on improvement plans for the Paoli Station, one of eastern Chesco’s busiest commuter hubs. That’s happening this Wednesday, June 8 from 4:00pm to 7:00 at the station’s northwest (outbound) and south (inbound) parking lots.

Here are five things we’re anxious to get the full details on.

  1. What do the improvements include?
  2. When will the construction for the Paoli Station Accessibility Improvements Begin?  When are they estimated to be completed?
  3. How will my commute be affected during construction?
  4. Are there future improvements in the pipeline after the initial accessibility improvements are finished? What about other stations?
  5. Where can I go to get updates on the project?

SEPTA says “the Open House provides an opportunity to review project renderings, discuss project details and review the project construction timeline. The project team welcomes your questions and interest in  this important project.”

That sounds promising. We’ll update you Thursday morning with a full report.
