Malvern Startup Pioneers Amazon Style Website for HVAC and Plumbing

NEP LogoMalvern based National Equipment Parts has created an Amazon style website for the HVAC and plumbing sectors which may soon become the go to supplier, writes Brian McCullough from Daily Local News.

Zeiad Hussein and Sean Caverly saw an opportunity in these two markets for a website that would provide a one-stop shop.

“It’s a $50 billion market on the HVAC side and a $50 billion market on the plumbing side,” said Hussein.  “It’s not a sexy market but it’s a very big and very fragmented market.”

On Thursday, Hussein and Caverly welcomed family, potential investors, supporters, politicians and Aaron Krause of Scrub Daddy and Shark Tank at the ribbon cutting ceremony at their BizTract offices in the Great Valley Corporate Center.

Similar to Amazon’s business model, National Equipment Parts provides a website where customers can order parts for direct to door delivery and can look up articles and videos on HVAC and plumbing problems to discover what they need for repairs.

NEP also hopes that contractors will use it as their main source for parts, as it plans to offer the best industry prices through volume sales.

“This is a wonderful example of the new economy,” said state Senator Andy Dinniman, who arrived to show support for the new business. “The people in this room today will be in the big buildings in the next decade.”
