West Chester University is the largest of the 14 public institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and the fourth-largest university in the Philadelphia area. WCU has approximately 14,000 students and is supported by 540 full-time and 270 part-time faculty members. The university has the following positions posted on its career page:

Assistant Director of Admissions for Out of State Recruitment

This position will maintain and enhance a strategic recruitment plan to increase enrollment of out-of-state students, and will assume a leadership role in the implementation of the recruitment plan and monitor all aspects of an out-of-state student recruitment. He/she will build relationships with out-of-state high school counselors to assist in outreach to students and their families. The person will also assist with advising the University Ambassador tour guide program and provide leadership and oversight to the Out of State Recruitment Team.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree with either professional work experience in higher education admissions or experience working in a university state system environment. Experience with using administrative software and document management for prospect and applicant management is preferred.

Assistant Director, Office of Student Conduct

This position will provide support to three key student conduct areas: alcohol, tobacco, and other drug related issues; training/recruitment; and compliance/assessment. He/she will serve as a University Hearing Officer with a focus on upper level cases (e.g., serious/recurring, alcohol/drug cases). The person will assist with ATOD-related programs and initiatives in conjunction with the Community Campus Coalition and the ATOD Committee.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in student affairs, higher education, or counseling, and have a minimum of three years of related experience. He/she will have experience with designing and implementing training programs. The person should have the demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with a variety of key departments and constituents.

Associate Registrar for Curriculum and Space Management

This position is responsible for the academic course scheduling process and the implementation and maintenance of curriculum. This includes overseeing the development of the semester course offerings, assignment of classrooms, and scheduling of final exams. He/she will be responsible for timely and accurate space utilization. The person also serves as a functional lead for enrollment and degree certifications, registration processes, upgrades and testing, and training of staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have a minimum of five years of higher education/non-profit management experience with increasing responsibility. Candidate should demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills and experience providing excellent customer/student service.
