Risk Manager

This position will be responsible to senior management for devising, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of the county’s risk management program, including insurance, employee safety, conservation of property, and business continuity contingency planning. He/she will identify, eliminate, or control loss exposures to employees’ physical property and legal liability for the county. The person will also design insurance programs to eliminate both overlaps and gaps in coverage securing and maintaining adequate insurance coverage at the most reasonable cost.

The ideal candidate for this position at the County of Chester will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have seven years of job-related experience. CPCU or ARM professional designation is required, as is excellent customer-service skills. He/she should have basic skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.

Population Health Supervisor

This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating population-based health programs that promote awareness of community health issues, healthy communities, and improved wellness. He/she is also responsible for supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and training professional and para-professional staff.

The ideal candidate for this position at the County of Chester will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in public health – a Master’s Degree is preferred – and have three to five years of supervisory and management experience. Additionally, the person candidate will have demonstrated strong program planning, program development, program evaluation, community assessment, data analysis, writing, grant management, research, and public speaking skills.

Director, Bureau of Environmental Health Protection

This position provides executive-level leadership, guidance, and direction for regulatory environmental health programs and activities. He/she is responsible for oversight of the Environmental Health Bureau’s operations, program areas, and technical staff so that services are provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner and in accordance with the mandates.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in public health, environmental health, chemistry, or biology, with at least five years of managerial and administrative experience. He/she will also have a strong knowledge of environmental health topics and regulations, program management and evaluation techniques, and current developments in public health.
