UTColLogoGaler-1-251x300This month is going to be a busy time for the Chester County Art Association, with multiple shows and exhibitions set to wow visitors over the coming weeks, writes  Lele Galer for The Unionville Times.

Two new exhibitions will be marked by an opening reception today at the CCAA on 100 North Bradford Avenue in West Chester, starting at 5 p.m. The first exhibition features work from Joshua Ruggeri. He creates narratives about popular culture and contemporary life. While “Art is a Gas,” a juried exhibition of 1960’s inspired art, will be on show in the Huston Gallery.

At the week’s end there is The Church Street Gallery’s “Retrovision” an exhibition of works by architect and artist Brad Earl. Meridian Bank, which is just around the corner from the gallery, is showing a selection of works from the Art Trust’s new show “VIEW.”

201510560ee43797841For something different, there is CCAA’s one-day Plant sale and art exhibition “Flowers in Soil & Oil” on Saturday, with 17 local artists presenting their flower paintings and photographs for sale.

On May 21st, Street Road Artists Space at 725 Street Road in Cochranville will hold the opening reception for its exhibition “7000 Acres.”  SRAS has been working for months on this project that presents the history of Londonderry Township through photographs, letters and stories.

Oxford Arts Alliance, which is located at 38 Third Street in Oxford, has also prepared a treat for its visitors with the “Four Maryland Artists: Plein Air-ism, a Responsive Echo” exhibition showing in its main gallery until May 24th.
