World of Beer Coming to Exton

It's a brave new World of Beer with 50 different selections on tap coming to Exton..

Chester County has seen a huge boom in craft beer over the past several years, and the latest to join the growing list of legendary names entering the area is chain tavern World of Beer.

Best known for its enormous selection of craft beers, World of Beer will open its first Pennsylvania location early next month in Exton, in the old barn building at 103 Woodcutter Street also known as Main Street, writes Michael Klein for

The general manager, Jason Asher, promises that enthusiasts of good beer will be able to choose from 50 rotating taps, an impressive selection of over 500 bottles, a cask engine, and an infusion tower at the new location. Highlighting the quality of Chester County beer, the tavern will also feature numerous local brands including Victory, Troegs, Weyerbacher, Stoudts, Conshohocken, Tired Hands, Levante, Yards, and Sly Fox.

Asher also enthused that World of Beer goes one step further to make sure its customers gets their beer exactly the way the brewery intended, as while regulations require that establishments flush their beer lines weekly, World of Beer cleans the lines before a new keg is tapped.  World of Beer will also offer customers the chance to can beer with its Crowler machine. According to Asher, the beer in the 32-ounce cans prepared with the Crowler will keep fresh for up to two weeks.

The new tavern will also feature a huge outdoor patio and its signature menu that includes comfort food and World of Beer’s famous pub fare such as giant Bavarian pretzels made from a 100 year old recipe, Guinness “brat” slider, as well as a Chimay Burger topped with the Belgian brewery’s famous melted cheese.

Details of the opening event, which will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, will be announced soon.
