Friday and Saturday will bring a real treat for all art lovers in Chester County as the 67th Annual Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale will be hosted by the Chadds Ford Elementary School on March 11th and 12th.
The event gives artists from Chester County the opportunity to showcase the different forms of art being created in the area. Proceeds from the show, which is still going strong after 67 years, will benefit educational programs and projects at the award winning elementary school, writes Lele Galer for The Times of Chester County
“This year’s show is exciting because we are not only welcoming back many good friends but we are also introducing more new artists than ever,” said Co-Chair Maggie Niemkiewicz. ”This is an event that could not happen without the tremendous support from the Chadds Ford Elementary community, without the dedication of the parents and teachers we could never execute this event year after year.”

Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, the show will welcome artists, press, and art enthusiasts who will be able to enjoy the art while listening to live music and sampling the delicious donated food offered by kindhearted volunteers.
In the main exhibition hall, the show will present works from over 70 artists selected by jury, among them award-winning pastel artist Helena van Emmerik-Finn as well as impressionist painter Mary Styer Holton who is also donating her stunning painting “Rosa” to this year’s raffle.
Shawn Faust, one of the many successful artists returning to the show, painted “Patch of Gold” specifically for this year’s celebration. The organizers have also made sure to keep the show new and fresh by adding over 15 new artists among them renowned painter John Suplee.
“The Salon”, this year’s show within a show curated by Lele Galer and titled “Forces of Nature,” will feature contemporary sculptural works created by five Chester County female artists. Also at 11 a.m. on Saturday, visitors can tour the show with Lele Galer and the Art Show Chairperson and chat with the artists.
