From “The Master’s Eye” to a woman of elegance, from a sun-lit country lane to a frigid “Sunset Ridge” and from a “Goddess Fountain” to “Venetian Balconies,” the artistic imagination of Chester County artists is setting the mood for Valentine’s Day with the new “Brandywine Romantics” exhibit featured at the Chadds Ford Gallery now through Feb. 21.

A fine selection from local standouts joins about a dozen smaller works of art in the gallery and its hallway space, and all of it is viewable while the gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, according to a Chester County Press preview by John Chambless. Among the familiar names are Robert Stack, Jacalyn Beam, Timothy Wadsworth, Linda Barr, Nancy Cunningham and Helena van Emmerik-Finn.
