New Healthcare Mentoring Program Aims to Inspire High School Girls

The Clinic, founded by two women fifteen years ago with the goal of providing all-inclusive medical care to the uninsured, is introducing a new mentoring program to help bridge healthcare’s gender gap and inspire girls in the area to become healthcare leaders of the future.

This is Pennsylvania’s first hospital and community based program for girls and is a week-long intensive course followed by a year-long mentoring program for high school girls in Chester County, Montgomery County, as well as all girl High Schools in Pennsylvania. Its hospital-based curriculum, hands on approach, and stimulating mentorship are all designed to create the healthcare leaders of tomorrow.

Among the girls accepted for the program are students from Owen J. Roberts High School and West Chester Henderson High School.

New Product Lines Unveiled by Toobeez

Malvern based Toobeez LLC, the maker of the popular life size building product, is planning to unveil several new product lines during its product preview at the NY Toy Fair on February 12th at the Jacobs Javits Center in Manhattan.

The announcement follows a U.S. distribution deal announced between Toobeez and India’s MRF Group, which is the owner of the Funskool Brand.  According to the deal, Toobeez gets the distribution rights for Funskool products in North America. By adding Funskool product lines to its lineup, Toobeez has now expanded its total range to over 200 products.

“Toobeez has been built on delivering quality, well-made products that are fun for kids and families,” said Toobeez’s CEO, Joe Donahue. “In evaluating the Funskool deal we thought it fit with both our mission and strategic vision.  We are excited to bring Funskool to the U.S.”
