TMACC Holds Charmain’s Reception at Victory Downingtown

On February 4th, the Transportation Management Association of Chester County held the Chairmen’s Reception, a networking event that gave the attendees a chance to meet the organization’s new Board members, mingle with TMACC staff, and network with other companies from the region.

Over 50 people were present at the event, which was sponsored by and held at Victory Brewing in Downingtown, and among them were County Commissioners Terence Farrell and Michelle Kichline, as well as state Representative Becky Corbin.

Chris Williams, the TMACC Board Chairman and VP & General Manager of Exton’s McMahon Associates used the opportunity to introduce  Kristin Camp from Buckley, Brion, McGuire & Morris, Pam Conti from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Tim Smith from Exton Square Mall as new members of the Board.

Kerry Jones from Immaculata University and John Nagel from East Whiteland Township were also introduced as Filling Terms.

Listing the accomplishments achieved by the non-profit in 2015 Williams emphasized the addition of 17 new members, 14 successfully hosted events which totaled over 750 attendees, as well as the new employee shuttle bus that was added to Saint-Gobain.

In addition, Williams boasted that the organization saved over 166,549 pounds of CO2 through its Transportation Demand Management Strategies, which is an equivalent of 192,364 miles over the last year that were not traveled by car due to the initiative.

Don Jacobs, TMACC Board Treasurer and Executive Vice President of Traffic, Planning & Design also gave an overview of the financial state of the organization, adding that for the past five years TMACC has presented clean audits.

Tim Phelps, the TMACC Executive Director closed the event and used the opportunity to thank Linda Ingenthron from State Farm Insurance for her years on TMACC’s Board and her work to improve and grow the SCCOOT Bus Service and TMACC’s Public Transportation System in Southern Chester County.
