The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania is a state-funded, not-for-profit organization, that provides  incubation funding for technology companies throughout the State.

The investment are part of a $2.1 million pool of funding that has been allocated to support the growth of 16 early-stage companies spanning areas as diverse as information technology, digital health, health and physical sciences in southeast Pennsylvania. The organization has already invested more than $175 million to grow more than 1,750 regional technology companies.

Dinniman, who serves on the Board of the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, which manages and oversees Ben Franklin Technology Partners, said that the first of the three new investments will be $275,000 for ESS Energy Products of Paoli, a private company that manufactures and promotes niche energy saving products for existing and newly constructed homes

The second set of funding is $250,000 for Makaha Medical of Pottstown, the medical device company focused on intra-vascular diagnostics, while TuvaLabs of Chester Springs will receive $150,000 to help further develop its data literacy training platform that makes data and statistics more accessible for less tech savvy users globally.

“Investing in emerging Pennsylvania businesses is investing in our economic future,” pointed out Dinniman. “The success and growth of innovative and promising companies will strengthen our economic base while increasing our tax base and providing jobs in related fields.”
