USA Technologies: Cashless Payment Tidal Wave About To Hit Vending Machines

By

The tide of people skipping cash and swiping credit cards — or keeping their wallets in their pocket altogether and going mobile — has been quickly rising, and the phenomenon is poised to crest and wash over the nation soon.

USA Technologies
The quick adoption of smart phone payment technologies has been an unexpected boon for USA Technologies.

“Cashless technology is going through a monumental change in terms of adoption and use,” Malvern-based USA Technologies wrote in the debut post of a new blog covering the cashless tidal wave. “Recent industry and analyst reports make clear that contactless payments will continue to grow, and that 2015 will go down as ‘the year’ cashless payments go mobile.”

The “unprecedented” growth “will hit 40 percent by this time next year,” USA Tech wrote in The Cashless Connection. “… The reasons why are clear: the Knowledge Base tells us that consumers are buying more and spending more when they can pay with credit, debit or mobile. That means more sales and revenue for retailers who accept cashless payments.”

USA Tech launched the blog to help readers surf the monster wave that’s coming; in it, the company plans to “dive into payments news, analysis and events (maybe bookmark this page? Just sayin’!). We’ll talk about the technology, the trends and the players in the payments and unattended retail space.”
