West Chester University, which has adopted a hybrid approach of in-person and virtual interactions for the fall semester, is set to open on time with dorms at full capacity.

West Chester University, the largest of the 14 public institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and the fourth-largest university in the Philadelphia area, has over 50 full- and part-time positions offered on their career page.

GEAR UP-3 Regional University Manager

The GEAR UP-3 Regional University Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning and implementation of the GEAR UP-3 program in Lancaster and Norristown School Districts. Responsibilities include facilitating the development and implementation of an annual action plan in collaboration with GEAR UP district staff, the Lancaster and Norristown School Districts school administrators and other school leaders, Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), Private Colleges and University partners’ staff, and Collective Impact partners. This is a two-year position and reports to Associate Dean of Partnerships and Professional Development of the College of Education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Candidates must have an earned Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work or related field and have at least five years’ experience working with 9th-12th grade students. Candidates must have knowledge of school district curriculum and college access requirements and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publishing Software.

Compliance Coordinator

Reporting to the Associate Director of Human Resources, the Compliance Coordinator at West Chester University will be responsible for university-wide compliance with local and system-wide policies and applicable state/federal laws relating to background checks and the protection of minors on campus.

The ideal Compliance Coordinator position will have at least three years of experience in an office environment, customer service experience and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Executive Director of Communication

West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Advancement Division seeks applicants for the position of Executive Director of Communication. The Executive Director works to enhance WCU’s image by communicating the institution’s mission, goals, and accomplishments through publications, the acquisition of positive media coverage, and oversight of marketing efforts including advertising and management of University publications and printing services.

Candidates for the Executive Director of Communication position should have a Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline required; master’s preferred. Also, candidates must have five or more years of experience in public relations or marketing work, preferably at a senior level and in a higher education setting. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and a willingness to travel and meet numerous evening and weekend obligations is required.
