Executive Director

The March of Dimes seeks an Executive Director in their Wayne office to organize and manage all activities in the division including program projects, fundraising, committee and board functions, communications and community services within the division area.

The ideal Executive Director candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 to 7 years of fundraising, budgeting, sales and/or marketing, volunteer recruitment and development and event planning experience and demonstrated leadership, organization, team building, problem solving, planning, and implementation skills.  All candidates must be flexible and willing to travel approximately 15% – 20% of the time.

Senior Community Director

The Wayne office of the March of Dimes office seeks a Community Director to implement, coordinate and manage cost-effective fundraising activities to assist the local business unit attain its financial goals. This is a sales position where the majority of the performance review is based upon achieving aggressive annual revenue goals. This position acts as liaison between the March of Dimes, its volunteers, and the local community. Is responsible for recruiting, training and managing high-level volunteers as well as corporate participation and sponsorship within that community.

The community Director should have a Bachalor’s degree or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of prior related work experience, preferably in sales event fundraising in a not-for-profit setting. Excellent communications and computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required. The ability to gracefully handle rejection and bounce back assuring goals are met is a must.
