Coroner’s Investigator

Chester County’s Coroner’s Office has an opening for a Coroner’s Investigator to perform case evaluation to determine acceptance or declining of jurisdiction, responding to death scenes and conducting an investigation including interviews, securing medical records and taking photographs. The investigator is also responsible for arranging or providing transport of the deceased by the investigator or transporter.

The Coroner Investigator should have two years of documented experience in a medical, pre-hospital or law enforcement setting. The position requires passing of the State Coroner’s Training within 18 months of hiring and National Certification within 30 months of hiring.

Director of Voter Services

The County of Chester is seeking a highly skilled Director of Voter Services to plan, organize, supervise and manage the activities of voter registration and elections for the County of Chester in compliance with all federal, state, county and local laws. The Director is responsible for the direction and organization of elections, maintaining integrity in the election process and ensuring that all mandated deadlines are met.

In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, the ideal Director of Voter Services candidate should be adaptable, analytical, and innovative as well as possess outstanding leadership skills. He or she should be highly organized and professional and possess effective interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must also have effective problem solving and decision-making skills and possess experience with the Pennsylvania voter registration and elections and with at least three years of experience in a management position.

Economic Development Program Administrator

The Department of Community Development has an opening for an Economic Development Program Administrator who will report to the Coatesville Area Partners for Progress (CAPP) and will oversee all projects associated with the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance Initiative as assigned.

The ideal Economic Development Program Administrator will have a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience and considerable knowledge of community development, business development and public administration. Working knowledge of municipal zoning and infrastructure and planning programs and processes and a proven track record in managing projects is required.
