Malvern based Meridian Bank has announced the addition of Evan Witmer to its ranks. He joins the Bank as Vice President, Retail Market Manager. Witmer’s main responsibilities in his new position at the locally owned and managed state-chartered commercial bank will be to lead Meridian’s retail banking strategy as well as to oversee the expansion of Meridian’s retail banking footprint.

Witmer, who graduated from Bloomsburg University with a double major in Business Administration/ Management and Political Science, brings with him over a decade of banking experience. He comes to Meridian after a successful time as a Vice President at TD Bank, where he was responsible for managing a busy branch which completed over 25,000 transactions monthly along with an extensive portfolio of both commercial and consumer relationships.

Witmer lives in Exton with his wife and two children and despite his busy work schedule he also takes time to involve himself in initiatives throughout the community. In addition to currently serving on the board of a Chester County non-profit organization with sole purpose of fighting hunger, Fiorenza’s Food for Friends, he is also on the New Member Ambassador Committee for the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, and is enrolled in the 2016 Leadership Chester County Program.
