Chester County leads the way in cool corporations as four companies from Chester County have been included in the compilation of Philly’s Coolest Companies 2015 by Philadelphia Magazine.

Months in the making, the list of twenty highlights companies that have dynamic leaders, innovative projects and a disruptive corporate culture which is tied together by an inspiring environment. It is no small feat then that four of the companies on the list are from Chester County.

050815AmerisourceBergenDespite the fact that Chesterbrook based AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 500 company, seems to be too big to be a cool company as it handles close to 30 percent of the world’s pharmaceuticals, it keeps its employees happy with perks such as tuition reimbursement, fitness classes, and even dry cleaning and car-wash services. Not to mention its monthly kaffeeklatsches with the CEO.

Coming up next on the list is Wayne’s Evolve IP, the cloud based services provider. Even though it is playing in the same arena as giants such as Microsoft and Amazon, the company is no minnow. It has already grown over 170 percent in the past three years and now has more than 1,300 clients and projected revenue of $70 million for 2015.

QVC, the $8.8 billion home shopping giant based in West Chester, also makes the list, which is an enormous achievement considering that the Internet is constantly reshaping the modern shopping landscape. Its continued growth is helped by its fast-paced environment and modern campus. The affiliation with Lori Greiner of Shark Tank fame is certainly not hurting the company either.

The final entrant from Chester County is Downingtown’s Victory Brewing Co. Once a microbrewery, it has now become the region’s brewing leader delivering close to 125,000 barrels of beer annually within the U.S. and abroad.

Even with its well known brands such as Hop Devil and Golden Monkey and its new 260,000-square-foot facility in Parkesburg, the company plans to expand further still. Leaders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski constantly show innovation such as making Victory the first brewery to partner with Invisible Sentinel, a company which provides handheld tests that can detect bacteria that spoil beer. Cool, indeed.
