“People go to places; how they get there is by different means whether its by car, bus, bike or foot.” says Tim Phelps, Executive Director of The Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC).

Western Chester County residents as well as community and business leaders impacted by the Route 30 are invited to a Community Meeting on the ongoing Route 30 Multimodal Study.

The community meeting on Wednesday, September 16 from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Coatesville Moose, 1200 Airport Road, Coatesville is not a formal presentation, but rather a dialogue with residents to acquire feedback on desires and visions for the area represented by the study:

• Business 30 Corridor between Lloyd Avenue and the Chester/Lancaster County border,
• Six US 30 Bypass interchange areas between US 322 and PA Route 10
• The extension of the Chester Valley Trail and regional trail connections.

Six municipalities whose communities are impacted by the Route 30 Corridor including Caln Township, Valley Township,  City of Coatesville, West Caln Township, Sadsbury Township and West Sadsbury Township, have joined together to sponsor the study:

“People have an opportunity to share their thoughts on needs and wants. Constructive public comments help design better solutions for the community.” explains Phelps on the importance of public involvement in a projects like this.

Participants need not plan to stay for the duration of the event, they can drop by any time between 5:30pm and 8pm.
