Business Development Specialist

Exelon in Exton seeks a Business Development Specialist to provide administrative and technical support to the company’s Mid-Atlantic Sales Group. This role is the primary liaison and point of contact for all sales related tactical issues pertaining to other functional groups within Exelon. Once hired, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs), including coordinating with the pricing and document development teams as well as helping to resolve issues that arise in any segment of the sales pipeline from suspect identification through invoicing including credit, contracts, legal, etc.

The Business Development Specialist position requires a Bachelor¿s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 3 years of business experience, preferably in marketing or communications and in the wholesale or retail energy industry. Proficiency and knowledge of sales, sales operations and related business practices as well as basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet is expected.

Area Maintenance Engineer (Transmission and Substations)

Exelon seeks a qualified Area Maintenance Engineer to work out of the company’s Berwyn facility. Once hired, the Area Maintenance Engineer develops and/or leads teams in studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Exelon’s electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems. In addition, the Area Maintenance Engineer provides consultation and recommendations to both the company  and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities.

The Area Maintenance Engineer position at Exelon requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, a thorough knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices, and eight or more years of professional engineering experience. The ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems and to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory is a must. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels are essential.

Senior Emergency Preparedness Specialist

Exelon Nuclear is looking for a Senior Emergency Preparedness Specialist at their Kennett Square Corporate  location to provides fleet wide leadership and management of emergency preparedness functions, programs and processes in their functional area. The Emergency Preparedness Specialist performs advanced program development, maintenance, and planning in support of Exelon’s Emergency Preparedness Program and is responsible for technical-decision making and problem solving related to emergency preparedness and response.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and have detailed knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations. A Bachelor’s degree and 6 years industry experience or an Associates Degree with 8 years overall industry experience is required.
