The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Administrative Assistant the Chamber with office-based administrative duties to work approximately 35 hours per week. Even though the Administration Assistant reports to the Chamber President, the assistant is expect to work without close supervision.

Job Description:

  • Handle daily duties and activities including phone calls, mail distribution, maintaining calendar, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
  • Maintain the specialized Chamber membership and prospect database.
  • Create invoices for dues, event registrations, etc. from the Chamber database system.
  • Assist with accounts receivable
  • Assist with events including confirming speakers; restaurant/country club arrangements; taking reservations; work at the registration desk.
  • Handle member/prospect communications such as respond to telephone requests; mail or fax prospect information and mail relocation packages.
  • Prepare press releases for Chamber events.
  • Maintain office supply inventories.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in all MS applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with all members of the community.

Work Hours:

This is a non-exempt position without benefits. Pay is $13.00 per hour. Employee will work Monday through Friday, approximately seven hours per day. Must be available for periodic early morning events and evening events, as well as Board meetings once per month.
