Each week Hulafrog publishes a weekend guide to help you and your family plan your weekend around fun and excitement.

Check out the Spring Flea Market and Bike Resale held this Saturday June 6th from 9AM to 1PM. The event is held in the Borough of West Chester Municipal Building at 401 East Gay Street. The Bike Resale works by dropping off your bike with the West Chester Parks and Recreation Department by 9AM on June 6th. Let us know the price and we will sell it for you. West Chester Parks and Recreation receives 20% of your total sale and you will receive the remaining 80%.

When you’re finished digging for treasure at the flea market, head over to the Historic Newtown Square Day celebration, now in its 20th year. Guided tours of Newtown Square’s historic buildings are a treat not to be missed. Added attractions this year include the Latvian Church building, the barn at the Garrett Williamson farm, and the Delaware County Veterans Memorial honoring the men and women of our military services.

Take the family out for a Saturday movie night at East Ward! They’ll be playing Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. This event is FREE and will include popcorn, water, and ice pops for all attendees. At-will donations will be accepted to benefit the East Ward Community Playground Project! The Event opens at 8pm (bring your blankets and chairs) and the movie will start at 8:20pm. We hope to see you all there and please spread the word. All are welcome!

West Chester Parks & Recreation presents Super Sunday, a giant street festival taking place in downtown West Chester on Gay Street between Matlack & Darlington. Food and craft booths. Four bands will play on two stages throughout the day. Children’s entertainment includes. . . TCL Clowns Skate with Fairman’s Crew Dora the Explorer with Clifford the Big Red Dog Kevin Joyce, Magician Randy Lyons and the Turks Head Jugglers Student performances showcased at Taylor’s Music Store Plus amusement rides, antique cars, Rides for Heroes motorcycle gathering, craft booths, food booths, and games for the entire family. Totally free.
