The FDA has granted approval for BioTelemetry’s next-generation Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry device.

BioTelemetry (NASDAQ: BEAT) and its CardioNet division, a company offering new technology and service allowing faster detection and treatment of difficult-to-diagnose cardiac problems based in Great Valley, has the following Chester County jobs posted on the firm’s career page.

Manager, Strategic Contracting

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Contracting, the Manager of Strategic Contracts at Biotelemetry will support all subsidiaries in developing, negotiating, coordinating and implementing contracts with clients and industry partners.  The Strategic Contract Manager will interact with various members of the management team throughout the company.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required and advanced education is preferred. The optimal candidate must have 5-10 years contract negotiation experience in managed care, clinical research or Life Sciences. Financial and business background and excellent interactive personal skills and effective oral and written communication skills are required.

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be in charge of preparing and posting journal entries and performing account reconciliations in conjunction with the month-end close process and assist in providing follow up and documentation for the monthly financial statement review.

The optimal candidate will have 2+ years related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. The person applying for this position must have strong attention to detail, intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel, and have effective written and verbal communication skills. The ability to succeed in a team environment is required.

Insurance Verification Specialist

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for benefit verification, authorization and insurance tagging as it pertains to the CardioNet’s product lines. The Insurance Verification Specialist will verify benefit eligibility, initiate and obtain prior authorization from insurance carriers, select the appropriate insurance and enter all necessary billing information.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field is required for this position. The ideal candidate must have experience in a processing center environment ICD9, EOB’s, third party payors, Medicare, managed care, and private pay. A sense of urgency in handling time sensitive patients is required as well as a knowledge of CardioNet product lines and an ability to communicate effectively with other internal customers.
