Architect Associate

The Architect Associate will be responsible for making outbound calls to schedule architect visits for ASMs, submit requests for substitution, determine key specifiers, receiving inbound calls to provide technical guidance and providing administrative support, primarily through CRM data entry, to the sales team.  Additional responsibilities include broad administrative support for the sales team, reporting and quote processing.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or the equivalent training which will provide a working knowledge pricing policies and strategies and 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or similar role. CapEx / Category Manager

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Category Manager will support the strategic sourcing initiatives and coordinate all activities related to the procurement of complex CapEx from project charter through delivery.  CapEx Purchasing Manager will work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify solutions that support operational requirements while reducing total cost of ownership.  This is an excellent growth opportunity for the right candidate.

The optimal candidate will follow disciplined approach to the strategic sourcing methodology and conduct evaluation and selection of suppliers through supply market analysis, identification of supplier capabilities, the creation of technical RFQ documents, proposal review, risk analysis, and complex commercial contract negotiation. Contract negotiations will be a big part of this role. The manager will also coordinate with the engineering team to ensure purchasing timelines and other purchasing requirements are captured during the project planning phase.

The person applying for this position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, 1-2 years of experience as an engineer, followed by a role (3-5 years) in supply chain, finance, purchasing or project management related to CapEx purchases. An MBA in International Business, Finance or Supply Chain is highly desirable.

Product Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer position, based at CertainTeed’s R&D center in Malvern, will be responsible for the research and development of new materials, including granules for CertainTeed roofing group. Once hire, the individual will collaborate with internal and external customers to develop new granules, improving product quality, and identifying new sources of raw materials that can improve product performance or reduce cost. The position will be responsible for collecting sufficient level of information on new raw materials from internal and external customers, performing lab experiments to evaluate/develop new materials, analyze data and communicate main results.

A B.S. degree in Material Science Engineering, Chemistry, or other similar fields is required. The person applying for this position should have 1-3 years experience with industrial analytical lab work and extensive knowledge of ceramic material and related processing.
