Award-Winning Chester County Intermediate Unit Administrator Exemplifies Excellence
The nation’s benchmark for exceptional leadership from school business officials comes from the Delaware Valley, and this year the man behind that impeccable standard hails from Chester County.
“He is widely respected by his colleagues not only in southeastern Pennsylvania but across the state,” Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials Executive Director Jay Himes said of Chester County Intermediate Unit Director of Administrative Services Joseph Lubitsky, who was recently heralded as the esteemed recipient of PASBO’s 2015 David L. Nett Regional Chapter Leadership Award.
“The current and past leadership of PASBO and its regional chapters have established very high standards for performance as school business officials that have become the benchmark in excellence for school districts nationwide,” he said. “Being included with these outstanding individuals is a true honor. None of this would have been possible without the fantastic support of my staff and colleagues at CCIU, as well as at the school districts and service providers in the Delaware Valley.”
Lubitsky was selected for his innovation, creativity and success as president of the state’s largest regional chapter, made up of more than 850 school officials and business partners in Chester, Delaware, Bucks and Montgomery counties.
“Joe is a very diligent leader and maintains the highest professional standards in his department,” CCIU Director of Operations Paul K. Thompson, Jr. said. “He delivers high-quality results and sets an example for his colleagues.”
