Instructional Assistant

The Learning Child Development Center in Coatesville is looking for a part time Instructional Assistant. The qualified applicant, upon hire, will perform a variety of duties/responsibilities under the direction of a classroom teacher or educational consultant.

The duties will include the implementation of a basic skills program or educational programming, and tutoring students individually with special needs. Some lifting and much patience are required. Qualifications include at least 48 college credits (from accredited college or university preferred). The applicant must have experience working with special education students. Applicant must be able to pass the normal clearance regulations for working with children.

The salary range for this position is $12.63 to $19.32/hour. The right person for this position is desired immediately. The required work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday for 6.5 hours per day.

Behaviorist Intervention Position

Yes, summers are great! But for highly productive individuals they can seem to drone on and on. How about considering a temporary summer Behaviorist position at The Chester County Intermediate Unit? The opening is from June 29th-August 13, 2015.

The person with the right fit will perform various duties and responsibilities that will include, assisting in the development of a behavioral intervention program for students in the Care and Teach program, provide support that includes mediation, and physically restraining or removing students from the classroom per the school’s conduct policies.

The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social services or criminal justice. The applicant also needs experience working with emotionally disabled students in a school/residential setting. The applicant must be able to pass background checks pertinent to working with children and a PA Driver’s License is a must.

The salary range for this position is $23.64-$29.55 per hour. The schedule for this rewarding work is Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM-2:30 PM. The position begins June 29, 2015-August 13, 2015.

Preschool Instructional Assistant

“…Now I know my ABC’s, next time won’t you sing’m with me?” The bigger question is, will you assist in helping the next generation in learning their ABC’s along with other important knowledge that will last a lifetime?

The CCIU Ed Center in West Chester is looking for a part time Preschool Special Education Instructional Assistant. The hired applicant will have the privilege of assisting in the operation of learning skills and personal care of some of our area’s most precious junior citizens. In addition, to keep life from becoming too routine, the assistant will perform a variety of classroom duties under the direction of a Special Education Teacher. A comfort level with working in an individual and group setting is a must.

An Associate’s degree or 48 credit hours from an accredited college/university and CPR certificate is preferred. The applicant must be able to pass background checks pertinent to working with children as well as a clearance as a MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and the Federal Government. Does it even need to be stated that patience is a requirement for this position?

The salary for this 10 month part-time position is $12.63 an hour. The work schedule is 7.5 hours a day 4 days a week.
