Wilmington-based WSFS Financial Corp. plans to acquire Alliance Bancorp Inc. of Broomall for $92 million, Philadelphia Business Journal reports.

The acquisition will double the number of southeastern Pennsylvania locations for WSFS, which began expanding into Chester and Delaware counties in 2010.

Alliance, in operation since 1938, has eight branches predominantly in Delaware County. This is the fourth recent acquisition for WSFS, which plans further growth in Pennsylvania, PBJ reports.

The deal is set to close in the fourth quarter and since there are no overlapping branches, all branch personnel and lenders will be retained. Redundant executive and back office Alliance employees will reportedly be considered for WSFS’s 20-30 current job openings.
