Lawyers Of Color Names John G. Chou To Fourth Annual Power List

John G. Chou, executive vice president and general counsel of AmerisourceBergen, has been named to the Lawyers of Color’s Fourth Annual Power List recognizing the nation’s most influential minority attorneys and nonminority diversity advocates.

A graduate of Harvard College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Chou joined AmerisourceBergen in 2002 and has been general counsel since 2007.  Chou leads AmerisourceBergen’s legal team while providing advice on global strategies, including acquisition and complex partnerships.

Chou was previously a partner with the Philadelphia law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, and held senior legal positions with CIGNA Corporation and ARCO Chemical Co. A profile of Chou will appear in the Lawyers of Color’s 2015 Power Issue.

Chou is also a 2014 recipient of the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund’s Justice in Action Award. He also has been a past president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania and is a current member of the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
