Worldwide West Pharma Family Grows In Giving Back

By

The growth in Exton-based West Pharmaceutical Services Inc.’s production facilities across the globe is only matched by its growing commitment to local philanthropy, according to a feature in the Kearney Hub.

“It’s been an amazing last three to four years,” Director of Operations DeWayne Gohl said of the business in the article. “We are one of those success stories in Kearney.”

Philanthropically speaking, too.

From one plant’s support of its local domestic violence S.A.F.E. Center, its abuse victim court advocate volunteers, a therapeutic horseback riding program and abuse victim Family Advocacy Network — through tens of thousands of dollars and hours of volunteer services — to a surprise $25,000 corporate donation to the United Way and YMCA, West’s generosity in Kearney is bountiful.

So, too, is the global enterprise’s annual West Without Borders fundraiser, which has surpassed $6 million in donations to charities worldwide, including ones in Pennsylvania like Camp Victory, where West helped fund the construction of a wheelchair accessible treehouse.
